Green with envy
Planet Karoo took a huge step towards becoming a green lodge , when solar power was installed on the premises. We hope to reduce our carbon footprint and ultimately become an eco-friendly establishment, said David Moore, owner of Planet Karoo.
Some other steps are currently being put into place that will help in our effort to become more eco-friendly. Such as different bins for recycling, eco-friendly washing up liquid, compost heap for growing of organic vegetables and making our guests aware of our plight to save the planet and protect our scarce resources by providing literature and education on the subject

Planet Karoo undergoes revamp
Over the past few months extensive work has been carried out on the premises, thus affording all guests a better karoo experience.
Some changes that were made include a new swimming pool, a new outdoor braai area around the pool, a new open plan kitchen with new cupboards, a new dining area now able to seat 14, a room extension, a new outside stoep area, solar power for the main house and a shiny new fridge to keep those drinks cold.
Since coming under new management in October, the new owner, David Moore , has begun waving his artistic wand and together with his General Manager , Clint Jones, the fantastic tranformations are beginning to miraculously, as if by magic, appear.
David has more plans for building and wont be happy until he has created a masterpiece.
Come and see what its all about, a short 2 hour trip from Cape Town and you are in another world.
